We are seeking an experienced Business Development Leader in Iowa or surrounding states for a VP of Business Development position.

This is a full-time, permanent, salaried position with a trusted Skilled Nursing and Hospice operator. Our client places employees at the forefront. This role is hiring immediately.

  • At least 10 years of experience in a business development or marketing and sales leadership role within the healthcare, long-term care, and/or hospice industry.
  • At least 3 years of experience supervising marketing and sales teams, preferably in healthcare, long-term care and/or the hospice industry.
  • Bachelor’s degree required; master’s degree preferred.


  • Collaborate with senior leadership to develop business development assessments and strategic plans for all lines of business, ensuring continued growth of the organization.
  • Manage all functions related to business development, including sales, sales training, marketing, marketing communications, and branding.
  • Lead the creative process to ensure our collateral, web site, social media, and other marketing communications are consistent with the Care Initiatives brand and communication standards.
  • Provides leadership for Sales and Marketing team members, including hiring, sales training, strategy, incentive plan development, market research, branding, collateral development, and managed care relationships.
  • Oversee and manage the business development and clinical intake teams.
  • Travel across our service areas to collaborate with Care Initiatives leadership, skilled nursing and hospice locations, with some overnight stays required
